DESCRIPTION:In the Spring of 2024 the world is waiting for the outcome of the US elections\, Europe is busy redefining its political topography\, and the Middle East and Ukraine remain critically unstable. In this highly volatile context China faces a fork in the road in pursuit of more sustainable strategies of high-quality growth.\n\nThe 2024 TOChina Summer School will take stock of these momentous trends and tackle the many implications of China’s domestic socio-economic dynamics and global ambitions at a time of “great changes unseen in a century”. \nThe School is run by the TOChina Hub – a partnership between the University of Turin\, ESCP Business School and T.wai – Torino World Affairs Institute – in collaboration with John Cabot University in Rome.\nThe 18th edition will be held in Turin and Milan from June 25 to July 5\, applications are open at www.tochina.it/summerschool \n\nTOChina Summer School 2024 – Poster

DESCRIPTION:This exploratory workshop has its roots in the PRIN 2022 (Projects of Relevant National Interest) “Mapping and Translating Spaces\, Cultures and Languages: Experiences from the Missions connected to the Portuguese Empire (1540-1700)” (MAT)\, selected by the Ministry of University and Research (MUR\, Italian Republic) and funded by the European Union (NextGenerationEU). DESCRIPTION:Giovedì 11 luglio e venerdì 12 luglio si terranno presso la sede UNISTRASI di Piazza Rosselli due giornate di studio dal titolo “Tuscany Health Ecosystem – Tecnologie avanzate\, medicina narrativa e comunicazione interculturale”. L’iniziativa è organizzata nell’ambito del progetto PNRR THE Spoke 3 (Advanced Technologies\, Methods and Materials for Human Health and Well-being) e ha l’obiettivo di illustrare lo stato di avanzamento del progetto\, condividendo con esperte/i i primi risultati raggiunti e affrontando i seguenti temi: Tecnologie avanzate per la terza età: uno sguardo sull’Asia orientale (Panel 1); Comunicazione e medicina narrativa (Panel 2); Mediazione in ambito sanitario e prospettive interculturali (Panel 3); Medicina\, emigrazione\, prospettive interculturali (Panel 4).\nL’iniziativa ospiterà relatori e relatrici provenienti dall’Italia e dall’estero e le lingue di lavoro saranno l’italiano e l’inglese. La partecipazione è gratuita e sarà possibile seguire l’iniziativa in presenza o da remoto via Zoom (v. dettagli nel programma).
